Why Office Air Purifier is Essential: Is Air Quality Hurting Your Business?

When was the last time you thought about the air in your office? Probably never. While businesses spend countless hours debating the merits of standing desks and productivity software, they’re often overlooking something far more fundamental: the invisible environment that surrounds their employees for eight hours a day. As it turns out, that air might be doing more than just keeping your team alive. It could be actively holding them back.

Your employees breathe 11,000 liters of air every day at work. But here’s the sobering reality: most of them are probably breathing air that’s making them less productive, less creative, and less healthy due to indoor air pollution. According to a Future Workplace Wellness survey conducted by Future Workplace and View Inc., just 1 in 4 employees believes the air quality in their office is optimal for them to do their best work.

While you’ve invested in ergonomic furniture and cutting-edge technology, the invisible environment surrounding your team might be quietly undermining every other workplace improvement you’ve made. Let’s explore the hidden impact of workplace air quality, and why purifying your air might be the most important business investment you haven’t made yet.

The Air We Breathe: A Business Perspective

When we think about workplace health and safety, visible hazards typically command our attention. However, the invisible threats lurking in our indoor air can significantly impact business performance. Using an air quality monitor can help businesses keep track of airborne particulate levels and ensure a healthier work environment. The Environmental Protection Agency reports that indoor air can be more polluted than outdoor air, and considering most employees spend around 40 hours per week in their workplace, the quality of that air becomes a crucial business consideration.

Understanding Your Space: Your Purifier Size Matters

Just as businesses come in different sizes, air purification needs vary based on your space. When selecting an air purifier, consider the clean air delivery rate (CADR) to ensure it can effectively handle the size of your space. For expansive commercial environments like open-plan offices or retail floors, the Airmega 400 stands ready to purify spaces up to 3,120 square feet. This unit doesn’t just clean the air, but it does it intelligently, with smart features that adapt to your environment’s changing needs throughout the business day.

Medium-sized businesses thrive with our air purifiers designed for spaces up to 1,748 square feet (like the Airmega 200M), making them perfect for retail spaces, restaurants, or professional offices. For modest commercial spaces, studios, or boutiques, our small-space models (like the Airmega 100) offer coverage up to 810 square feet while maintaining the same powerful filtration technology.

Beyond Basic Filtration: The Technology That Makes It Possible

The heart of every Airmega air purifier lies in its HyperCaptive™ filtration system. This isn’t just marketing speak. It’s a comprehensive approach to air cleaning that combines multiple technologies to trap and deactivate an unprecedented 99.999%1 of particles down to 0.01 microns. That’s smaller than most bacteria and viruses.

The system starts with a washable pre-filter that captures larger airborne particles, extending the life of the main filtration system. But the real magic happens in the Max2 filter, where activated carbon works alongside Green True HEPA™ technology to not only capture microscopic particles but also eliminate harmful gases and persistent odors that can make a workplace feel stale and uninviting.

Smart Features for Modern Businesses

Today’s businesses need solutions that work intelligently, not just effectively. That’s where the smart models in the Airmega lineup shine. With WiFi connectivity and smart app control, these units give businesses unprecedented control over their air quality. Real-time monitoring with an air quality indicator provides instant feedback about air quality status, while automatic mode adjustments ensure your space maintains optimal air quality without constant manual intervention.

Why Indoor Air Quality Matters

Think of air quality as an invisible asset, one that directly impacts your business's performance. When employees breathe cleaner air, they think more clearly, work more efficiently, and take fewer sick days. Customers spend more time in spaces where they feel comfortable and refreshed. The investment in proper air purification is just as much about creating an environment where businesses can thrive as it is about health.

Making the Right Choice

Selecting the best air purifier for your business doesn’t have to be complicated. Start by assessing your space requirements and considering your specific business needs. Whether you choose the powerhouse Airmega 400S for your large commercial space or the efficient Airmega 250 for your professional office, or the advanced Airmega ProX with its impressive 4,253 square feet of coverage and HyperCaptive™ filtration, you’re making an investment in your business’s air quality that will pay dividends in employee health, productivity, and customer comfort.

This year, as we enter the season when indoor air quality becomes even more crucial, consider how your business’s air might be affecting your success. After all, in the competitive world of business, every advantage counts, including the air we breathe.

How to set up, use, and maintain your air purifier

It requires proper installation and maintenance. Here are some tips on how I can remove wrapping material. Many air purifiers come without filters — they come in plastic wraps. Open the system and remove the filter and Ensure the new installation is successful. It is recommended that the HEPA filter has an arrow pointing to the proper position. They should be placed in proper places. Install your purifier at a distance of 18 inches from the floor or other furniture. Ideal for use near the center of your use area. One filtration unit for a room would be a good choice.

Are small air purifiers loud?

Depending on the speed settings, the smaller air purifier we list can reach varying degrees. The bigger purifiers are generally louder. One air purifier is 22 inches high and 16.33 inches wide and produces a sound level around 85 decibels. 81 decibels would be the equivalent of an urban road or upright vacuum.

3Aerosol test conducted in a Biosafety level 3 laboratory with two Coway air purifier models, Coway Airmega 250 and 400 for removal of SARS-CoV-2 Aerosol by US based MRI Global, a not-for-profit laboratory and partner of US Department of Defense. The test was conducted in a 13.1ft3 chamber. Virus was aerosolized for 15 minutes and the product was turned on high for 2 minutes. Result showed each product effectively removed over 99.98% of the SARS-CoV-2 in 2 minutes. This is a result from a laboratory experiment condition and result may vary in different conditions. This result does not imply it kills SARS-CoV-2 or prevents the transmission of Covid-19. Coway Airmega 250S and 400S are identical to the tested models and has equal performance with an additional mobile connectivity function.

5The coverage area of the air purifier is based on an area where the air cleaner can make two air changes per hour (ACPH). An air change per hour translates to how many times an air purifier can clean an area, assuming the height of a ceiling to be 8 ft, in one hour. Therefore ** means two air changes per hour means that the cleaner can clean the area once every 30 minutes and * means air changes per hour means that the air purifier can clean the area once every 60 minutes.
