Coway Brand Value Climbs 30% to $1.4 Billion in Brand Finance's 2026 Rankings

Coway's brand value grew 30% this year to $1.4 billion, according to Brand Finance, the London-based brand valuation consultancy. That growth moved Coway up three spots to 44th in the Electronics and Appliances 50, Brand Finance's ranking of the world's most valuable brands in the category. Coway also rose ten spots to 51st in the South Korea 150, the annual list of the country's most valuable brands.

Sharing a ranking with Apple, Samsung, Sony, and Dell is a major moment. It also reflects how many households around the world now treat clean air and clean water as everyday essentials.

What the 2026 Brand Finance Rankings Show for Coway

Brand Finance valued Coway at USD 1.4 billion in 2026, or roughly KRW 1.88 trillion, a 30% increase over last year. In its report, Brand Finance credited the growth to stronger revenue forecasts and business performance across Coway's Southeast Asian markets.

The pace of that growth stands out in context. Brand Finance's 2026 Technology 100 report describes electronics as the largest and most mature value pool in tech, with growth under 10% across the sub-sector. Coway grew three times faster than that benchmark, and it was one of the few brands in the Electronics and Appliances 50 to climb the list this year.

How Brand Finance Measures Brand Value

Brand Finance defines brand value as the net economic benefit a company would earn by licensing its brand on the open market. To calculate it, the firm uses a royalty relief method that complies with ISO 10668, the international standard for brand valuation. Each brand also receives a Brand Strength Index score out of 100, built on marketing investment, stakeholder perception and business performance, in line with ISO 20671.

Brand Finance completes more than 6,000 brand valuations every year and publishes over 100 rankings across industries and countries. That independence is what gives a ranking like this its weight. Coway didn't submit an application or pay for placement; the numbers come from financial data, analyst forecasts and Brand Finance's own market research.

Why Coway's Growth Matters for Customers in the U.S.

A brand's value grows when people keep choosing it, recommending it and coming back for replacement filters years later. Coway's growth rests on decades of product work. More than 400 researchers work at Coway's R&D Center in Korea.

The same research drives the Airmega air purifier line here in the U.S. The compact Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH covers rooms up to 1,748 sq ft with a HEPA filter. The Airmega 100, Coway's first cylindrical purifier, captures nano-sized particles down to 0.01 microns with 360° air intake. For larger rooms, the Airmega 350 pairs real-time air quality monitoring with a customizable 3-in-1 filter system.
